  • 1999 – Mctlaw Is Founded

    Attorney Altom Maglio launches the firm with one attorney and one paralegal, focused on product liability, vaccine injury, and civil litigation.

  • 2003 – First Partner Joins mctlaw

    Attorney Anne Carrion Toale becomes the firm’s first partner and quickly rises as a national authority in vaccine injury law.

  • 2008 – Filed First Durom Hip Lawsuit in the United States

    Mctlaw files the first metal-on-metal hip lawsuit in the country against Zimmer Biomet involving the Durom hip implant.

  • 2009 – 10-Year Anniversary

    The firm celebrates 10 years of helping individuals and families pursue justice nationwide.

  • 2009 – U.S. Supreme Court Advocacy

    Attorney Jennifer Maglio files an amicus brief before the U.S. Supreme Court in Bruesewitz v. Wyeth LLC, a landmark case impacting vaccine injury claims.

  • 2010 – Washington, DC Office Opens

    Mctlaw expands its national legal practice with the opening of its Washington, DC office, strengthening its presence in vaccine injury litigation and the US Court of Federal Claims.

  • 2010 – Founding Member of VIP Bar

    The firm helps establish the Vaccine Injured Petitioners’ Bar Association (VIPBar), dedicated to advocating for vaccine injury claimants. Anne Toale later serves as President, and other firm attorneys, serve on the board and committees.

  • 2013 – $2.5 Billion DePuy ASR Settlement Announced

    The product liability team at mctlaw plays a key role in putting legal pressure on Johnson & Johnson. In November 2013, the company announces a $2.5 billion settlement for patients with recalled DePuy ASR hip implants.

  • 2016 – President of the Court of Federal Claims Bar Association

    Altom Maglio serves as President of the US Court of Federal Claims Bar Association, leading the organization that supports attorneys practicing before the Court.

  • 2016 – Interim Damages Victory in Vaccine Court

    Anne Toale and Jennifer Maglio win a case in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims allowing interim damages to be awarded to petitioners in vaccine injury cases, expanding financial relief options under the VICP.

  • 2017 – Seattle Office Opens

    The firm expands to the West Coast with the opening of its Seattle, Washington office.

  • 2018 – Record-Setting $101 Million Vaccine Settlement

    Attorney Diana Stadelnikas negotiates a $101 million settlement for an infant injured by the MMR vaccine, one of the highest publicly reported awards in the history of the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP).

  • 2019 – 20-Year Anniversary

    Mctlaw celebrates 20 years of advocating for individuals nationwide.

  • 2019 – Court of Federal Claims Golden Eagle Award

    Altom Maglio receives the Golden Eagle Award from the U.S. Court of Federal Claims in recognition of his service and contributions to the Court.

  • 2019 – Anne Toale Honored by VIP Bar Association

    Anne Toale is honored by the Vaccine Injured Petitioners’ Bar Association for her leadership in vaccine injury law.

  • 2021 – Protecting SIRVA Claims

    The firm fights to keep SIRVA (Shoulder Injury Related to Vaccine Administration) claims eligible under the VICP after federal rule changes threatened access to compensation.

  • 2022 – Pinnacle Hip Lawsuits Move Forward

    Mctlaw wins a key legal battle allowing DePuy Pinnacle metal-on-metal hip implant lawsuits to proceed in New Jersey.

  • 2023 – Historic Kratom Jury Verdicts

    The firm secures the first wrongful death jury verdict involving kratom products, with a $2.5 million award. That same year, mctlaw wins another case resulting in an $11 million kratom verdict, marking a major development in kratom litigation nationwide.

  • 2024 – 25-Year Anniversary

    Mctlaw celebrates 25 years of representing individuals and families across the country.

  • 2025 – Lawsuit Filed to Add COVID Vaccines to VICP

    The firm files a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services seeking to add COVID-19 vaccines to the VICP instead of the more restrictive CICP.

  • 2025 – Landmark Doles Decision

    Attorney Jennifer Maglio wins the landmark Doles v. Secretary of Health and Human Services decision, impacting how vaccine injury claims are handled under the VICP
