Michele Stephan-Arsenault brings more than 30 years of legal experience to her work as a litigator and Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. Certified since 2013, Michele draws on decades of experience handling high-stakes civil litigation to help parties evaluate disputes, confront difficult issues, and work toward meaningful resolution.

For the past eight years, Michele has served as settlement counsel for mctlaw’s Product Liability Department. She has played a central role in resolving complex product liability, mass tort, and individual personal injury claims through mediation and negotiation. Her work has contributed to more than $100 million in recoveries for injured clients.

Michele’s mediation practice is grounded in decades of experience preparing and litigating complex cases in Florida and throughout the country. Her background includes product liability, defective medical devices, mass torts, catastrophic personal injury, nursing home negligence, federal civil rights litigation, and other complex civil matters.

As a mediator, Michele combines rigorous legal analysis with a pragmatic, persistent, and empathetic approach. She understands how cases are built, where negotiations break down, and what may be required to move parties toward resolution.

Michele is known for identifying the issues standing in the way of settlement, helping parties realistically evaluate their risks, and developing practical strategies to move difficult negotiations forward. Her experience as a litigator and settlement counsel gives her a clear understanding of the pressures facing attorneys and clients on all sides of a dispute.
