She built a strong background in patent and intellectual property law, working at Venable LLP and serving as Assistant General Counsel for IP Litigation at AOL, Inc. During her time at AOL, Ms. Garcia managed all patent litigation while leading her own team and working with stakeholders and executives.
She chose to practice vaccine injury law to combine her legal expertise with her deep commitment to health advocacy. “My litigation experience has been extremely diverse,” Ms. Garcia says. “But my goal has always been to help people. At mctlaw, I want to continue my advocacy in science and health.” Throughout her impressive career, she has remained committed to using her expertise to make a meaningful impact on others.
Ms. Garcia earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She graduated with honors from the University of Baltimore School of Law, serving on Law Review and earning two American Jurisprudence awards. For nearly 10 years, she has volunteered as a judge for the AIPLA Giles S. Rich Memorial Moot Court Competition at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, mentoring the next generation of legal advocates. Throughout her career, Ms. Garcia has focused on making a real difference in people’s lives. Her diverse legal experience, combined with her scientific background, gives her a strategic advantage in advocating for vaccine injury victims.
Beyond her legal career, Ms. Garcia enjoys spending time with her family, including two dogs and a cat. She also channels her energy into running a kickboxing gym in Maryland. When she’s not in the courtroom, you can often find her at the gym, coaching and training with her community.
