Shaman Botanicals LLC, the company behind CBD American Shaman, issued a voluntary nationwide recall of its Advanced Alkaloids chewable tablets labeled “White Vein.” The U.S. Food and Drug Administration shared the company’s recall notice to warn the public.
These tablets may contain a higher dose of 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) than the declared amount in each tablet. This compound is powerful and acts on the same brain receptors as opioids. CBD American Shaman Issued Recall of Advanced Alkaloids Tablets

The recall states, “Use of the Alkaloids Chewable Tablets – White Vein product could result in consumers ingesting a higher dose than intended, which could result in adverse health effects.” The recalled lot number is Lot B# AAW.501.3
The product contains kratom-derived alkaloids that have not been approved by the FDA for any medical use. Because of the potential risks, Shaman Botanicals advised consumers to stop using the product right away.
What Is 7-Hydroxymitragynine or 7-OH?
7-hydroxymitragynine is one of the most potent compounds found in kratom. In products like the Advanced Alkaloids tablets, it is often concentrated or chemically enhanced, increasing the risk of adverse events.
Studies show that 7-OH can be highly addictive and dangerous at high doses. It produces effects similar to opioids by acting on the brain’s opioid receptors.
