CICP Releases Latest COVID-19 Vaccine Injury Compensation Update for June 2023

Only 1 single person in the United States with COVID-19 vaccine injuries was compensated by the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP) since April 2023. There are still 11,806 people waiting to find out if their claims will be approved.

The newest “update” awards only $3,957 to a person diagnosed with Myocarditis after getting the COVID-19 vaccine. Myocarditis is a serious illness where the lining and muscles around the heart become inflamed.

COVID-19 VaccineAnaphylaxis$2,019.55
COVID-19 VaccineMyocarditis$1,582.65
COVID-19 VaccineMyocarditis$1,032.69
COVID-19 VaccineMyocarditis$3,957.66

Compensating only 4 people out of 11,806 claims results in a 0.0003% compensation rate. Less than one tenth of a percent of all cases were compensated.

So far all proposed legislation in Congress to move COVID-19 vaccine injuries out of the CICP has failed. This means that for now  to get money for your COVID-19 vaccine injury is unfortunately still through the CICP.

As always, we will continue to bring you updates. Our firm will let you know if and when COVID-19 vaccine injury claims are transferred to the VICP.
