Appellate Attorney
Job Description:

This position involves independent work as part of a small team which supports a variety of specialized and complex litigation cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with trial attorneys to preserve appellate issues
- Research and draft major trial motions to frame or narrow future appeals
- Conduct extensive legal research to identify appellate issues and procedural approaches to appeal
- Develop legal arguments and prepare briefing for review at the appellate level
- Present appellate oral arguments
Qualifications:
- Outstanding research and writing skills
- An affinity for the Oxford comma and standards of review
- Ability to meet the exacting standards and rules of multiple appellate courts nationwide
- Experience with briefing and/or oral argument at the appellate level
This position is primarily in-office with some flexibility to work remote. Our offices are located in downtown Washington, DC, Sarasota (FL) and Seattle (WA). The starting salary range is $100,000 – $150,000 depending on experience, plus the ability to earn significant bonuses.
Complex Litigation Attorney

Occasional travel may be required but the role is not travel-heavy. The starting salary range is $90,000 – $130,000 depending on experience, plus the ability to earn significant bonuses.
Paralegal
Job Description:
DC Metro Center located office of national law firm seeking an organized, driven, and dedicated paralegal who wants stability and long-term growth. A successful candidate will be proactive, have excellent oral and written communications skills, an eye for detail, and the desire to creatively solve problems on a daily basis. High-level ability to learn, adapt, and use new technology is a must.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain strong client relationships with frequent communication
- Work closely with attorneys to proofread, cite check, and finalize complex legal documents
- Research appellate, federal, state, and local rules to ensure compliance
- Maintain organized client files through the firm’s case management system
- Provide first level support for our appellate, federal takings and developing litigation
- Provide backup support for Indian Law litigation
This position is based in our Washington, DC office and has some flexibility to work remote. The pay range is $24 – $36/hour depending on experience, plus the ability to earn significant bonuses.
