Andrew C. Culbert, partner at Masterman, Culbert and Tully LLP,
is a member of the bars of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
Mr. Culbert received his B.A. from the University of New
Hampshire (1966). He joined the firm in 1969 after graduating from
George Washington University Law School. He became a partner in 1975.

Experience
Mr. Culbert represents a number of international companies and investment groups entering, or increasing their presence in, the United States. This involves various disciplines including merger and acquisition, real estate, lending, leasing, environmental matters, labor and personnel, corporate governance, licensing and intellectual property issues, together with investment and financial analysis. Mr. Culbert represented a large manufacturing company in preparing a multi-million dollar rights offering on the NYSE. Mr. Culbert has represented the Trustees of a major university in various joint ventures and limited partnerships, and has represented a number of well known franchisors in connection with several hundred leases for their locations. He has represented numerous lenders in all types of secured and unsecured loans, real estate loans and asset-based financing matters. He represents a consortium of cement producers based in Spain relative to their business activities in North America. Mr. Culbert also represents a British based aggregate business with respect to numerous corporate, real estate and acquisition transactions in the United States.
